In the thick of it: Thick & Fast mascara by Soap & Glory...‏

The formula for this mascara is pretty good if you prefer volume over length; there's lots of volume, hardly any clumps, and rich colour. I average at 12 hours wear per day, and the mascara has never flaked on me. However; I didn't like the absence of any lash lengthening, and that this mascara can't hold any curl.

All above photos feature 1 coat of mascara

There doesn't seem to be anything special about the design of the brush - regular bristles and standard shape - but for some reason I always end up with mascara on my lids and browbone.

There's not much to say for Thick & Fast - it's not a bad mascara, just not one that stood out for me. I don't feel as though I can recommend this product to anybody at the end of the day, as so many mascaras at this price point perform better.

Chic Profile has the first promotional images of the Christmas 2014 collection from Orly.
I wasn't wowed by past Orly collections, but this one looks a lot better.

OPI Holiday 2014 will be by‏... Gwen Stefani.

Chic Profile has the first promotional images of the Christmas 2014 collection and it features... Gwen Stefani.

I wasn't wowed by the spring 2014 Gwen Stefani collection, but this one looks a lot better - in fact nine of the shades, plus both of the nail effect polishes are looking really good to me.

China Glaze 2014 Christmas collection: Twinkle

Polish Galore has scored the first swatch photo of the 2014 China Glaze Christmas collection - Twinkle

I love China Glaze’s xmas collections as the colours are usually very wearable throughout the entire year. The darker shades in particular look awesome.

China Glaze Halloween 2014 collection - Apocalypse

Polish Galore has scored the first swatch photo of the 2014 China Glaze Halloween collection: Apocalypse.

China Glaze’s Halloween collections are my favourite, and this year’s zombie theme looks especially cool: the last few years were quite tame by China Glaze’s past standards, but every shade looks awesome this time.

I can’t wait to get my hands on the shades…

First impression: The Look in Sooo 80's by Manic Panic...‏

This isn't a full review for the product, as so far I've only played around with this kit and haven't fully put it to the test. I just wanted to put up photos of swatches and share my initial thoughts on the product formulas, as I was umming and ahhing for ages over buying this kit and couldn't find the info I wanted on it online...

This kit contains five powder eyeshadows; two pink shades, a blue-toned grey, a green, and a purple.

There is a pearly cream brow bone highlight shade, that is also meant to act as a base for the powder shadows.

There are two creamy lipstick shades; a bright pink shade, and a amethyst shade.

There is a black pencil liner; I'll be using it as a eye liner, but it is called 'Lip Lock Liner'.

Finally; there is a pair of falsies in the style 'Sin City'.

Bargain Hunter: Shiny things...

You can currently buy these silver-toned skeleton hand earrings for only 95p with free postage from Amazon. The review on there is by me, but I’ll repeat it here…

NOTD: Filthy Gorgeous London in Rock Star...

Filthy Gorgeous London 3-free nail polish in the shade Rock Star is a light green jelly, that is full of holographic, green and scattered gold microglitter. I first thought of as a polish for layering, but there are so many microglitter pieces that the polish becomes almost-fully opaque with just two coats.

Despite the heavy amounts of glitter this polish I was impressed with the fast drying time, and and I find that it wears as well as the big named polish brands I've tried. Being a glitter bomb it does take a little bit more effort to remove, but it seems easier then many of my other glitter-heavy polishes.

As usual: Using my usual base and top coat, this polish will last me anywhere between two to four days with only minimal wear. But as I'm a self powered wheelchair user I'm tough on my hands and am always catching my nails, so I can't really speak for how long lasting the formula is overall.

Sixth Grave on the Edge (Charley Davidson #6) by Darynda Jones...

Sometimes I wrestle my demons. Sometimes we just snuggle.

  —  bumper sticker

☠/
Most girls might think twice before getting engaged to someone like Reyes Farrow—but Charley Davidson is not most girls. She’s a paranormal private eye and grim reaper-in-training who’s known to be a bit of a hell-raiser, especially after a few shots of caffeine.

Her beloved Reyes may be the only begotten son of evil, but he’s dark and sultry and deeply sexy and everything Charley could hope for. Really. But when the FBI file on Reyes’s childhood happens to land in her lap, she can’t help herself: She opens it...and then the real fun begins.

First, Charley finds a naked corpse riding shotgun in her car. Then, a man loses his soul in a card game. Throw in a Deaf boy who sees dead people, a woman running from mobsters, and a very suspicious Reyes, and things can’t get any worse for Charley. Unless, of course, the Twelve Beasts of Hell are unleashed..
